From Veterans Day to Thanksgiving
In 1944, LT William C. Daley spent 12 weeks training at ATB Little Creek before joining the newly commissioned LSM 98 in Houston. LT Daley would spend his naval career with LSM 98, his final post as its Commanding Officer. Over 70 years later, his great-granddaughter, LT Kodi Lock, served at JEB Little Creek. LT Lock will begin her 3rd shipboard deployment, 2nd to the Pacific, in 2017. She has already joined LT Daley and her grandfather- Seaman Louis E. Lock- as trusty shellbacks, all crossing the equator on the Pacific.
This time of the year, we are often reminded to thank Veterans for their service. I encourage you to join us, go beyond the customary thanks, and share your family’s story.
This holiday season, post a picture of a family member or members who have worn the uniform and tag #ThankfulformyVeteran to spread the gratitude.
You can now find Fore the Troops on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram- all @forethetroops.
Thank you for your continued support throughout the year and I look forward to seeing you in June at Blue Bell Country Club
